July 2021-2022

  • We carried out 154 surveys, 18 of them for free thanks to grants. 
  • We were able to return to surveying, with a late start, following the Covid pandemic, strengthened by a generous grant from Energy for Tomorrow, a Centrica initiative. Our mission was to get CHEESE into profit and then replicate it with a social franchise.  
  • We updated our logo with a design from Simon Rees at Rumba to reflect the change.  
  • Thanks to a grant from the Sureserve Foundation, we were able to design and implement a completely new training programme, starting with online modules, This was led by Roz Thomas and Rob Bennington and used in our October 2021 training. 
  • We took a stall at the Homebuilding and Renovating show in November at the Bath and West Showground – being the sole stall concerned about climate change. 
  • We found that we were getting more requests to survey large buildings and had to institute a new price for 16+ rooms! 
  • October 2021 – Awarded a giant cheque from ‘Give a little love’ Waitrose community fund 
  • In March we were excited to be able to test our new automated bookings system from Franchise Cloud.
